REINDEER FARM
THE PRINCIPAL - WILD ROAMING REINDEER
Our Family lives with the reindeer and for the reindeer. These magnificent animals form the cornerstone of our existence. Our Reindeer roam freely in the vast, untamed Arctic wilderness.
In the summer months, they flourish, feasting on more than 200 different Arctic plants, thriving in their natural habitat. As winter’s icy grip takes hold, they return to the shelter of our nearby forest. Here, we nurture them with extra nutrition, ensuring their survival through the harsh Arctic winter.
Though naturally shy creatures, our reindeer have come to trust us over the years, creating a bond as strong as the Arctic itself.
HISTORY – RESPECT FOR THE REINDEER
The history of our reindeer herding stretches back to the 19th century. Our children are fifth-generation reindeer herders, carrying on a legacy that has shaped our very existence. Over the decades, these noble animals have fed our family, built our homes, and provided us with warmth.
Reindeer herding is not just a job; it is a way of life. This enduring relationship with our reindeer is founded on deep respect. Through the years, we have gained a profound understanding of their needs and behavior, a knowledge passed down through generations. This respect and understanding are bedrock of our harmonious coexistence with these magnificent creatures.
